Editorial Policies

Universal Journal of Pharmaceutical Research publishes 6 issues annually: January-February, March-April, May-June, July-August, September-October, and November-December. On submission, editors review all submitted manuscripts initially for suitability for formal review. Manuscripts having insufficient originality, serious scientific or technical flaws, or lack of a significant message are rejected before proceeding for formal peer-review. The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works, and if the authors have used the work of others, that this has been appropriately cited or quoted. The order of naming the contributors should be based on the relative contribution of the contributor towards the study and writing the manuscript. Once submitted, the order cannot be changed without the written consent of all the contributors.

Comprising a range of experienced individuals, including managing editor, editorial associates, software specialists, and administrative coordinators, the editorial office strives to provide a smooth service for authors and reviewers alike. Its responsibilities include:

  • Managing the peer review process to ensure manuscripts progress smoothly through peer review. This involves providing reviewers with all the information they need, to guarantee authors receive a review that improves the quality of their manuscript.
  • Compiling issues, making sure they are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
  • Editing, proofreading, and reformatting manuscripts to ensure they are finished to a high quality and conform to the journal style.
  • Providing help with submissions and handling queries and problems.

The editorial office staff frequently conducts data analysis of citation levels, usage, and author submission behavior to determine content that would enhance readership, all while balancing commercial aspirations with editorial integrity, direction, and policies.
